ISSA invites you to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at our school!
Children will participate in story times, arts, crafts and cooking activities representing Hispanic culture!
- Learn about the origins of the Hispanic Heritage Month and get immersed into Hispanic culture through a Storytime in Spanish!
- Cook a traditional Spanish dish Chocolate con churros español with Maestra Pilar!
- Taste other traditional Hispanic food:
- Colombian and Puerto Rican coffee
- Chilean alfajores
- Mexican food
- Make crafts from Mexico, Peru and Chile:
- México: Flores de papel (Mexican paper flowers)
- Perú: Líneas de Nazca (Nazca lines)
- Chile: “Moai” / “Chanchito”
Admission is free for ISSA students and $7 for any other child who wishes to attend.
