Primary School
Ages 5-10: Building bilingual skills and a love of learning
Primary School's international curriculum is delivered in students' target language. Across all coursework, elementary students are encouraged to question the world around them and solve problems in real-life contexts.
English language arts are part of the curriculum. By gradually increasing English language instruction time throughout the Primary School curriculum, we strengthen proficiency skills in English and the target language. Students move toward full mastery of both languages as they develop literacy, reading comprehension, oral expression, vocabulary, and grammar skills.

At the same time, students build solid foundations in mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, technology applications, art, and music. ISSA students are fully prepared to transition to middle school in either English or the target language of their choice.

-
French: Employs a syllabic reading/writing method, aligned with the French national curriculum
-
Constructivist teaching methods
