Simple Stories in *French*: The Ugly Duckling

Classic Stories in French

Reading (and listening to) a familiar story in French is a great way to learn the language. Many children already know the story of the Ugly Duckling. If your child does not know the story, make sure they hear or read it first in English before tackling it in French. Being familiar with a story helps children follow along when they hear it in a new language.

The Ugly Duckling in French

I love this version of the Ugly Duckling (Le vilain petit canard) because it is very simple. There are many versions out there of course, but this one is very easy to follow. That makes it great for kids learning French. I hope that your family loves it too!
