SAN ANTONIO,TX, Oct. 17, 2023/ — International School of San Antonio, (ISSA) a private international full-immersion school for children from preschool through elementary levels, today announced that it has been awarded the LabelFrancÉducation for its elementary French program. Upon the advice of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), the French institute (IF), and Mission Laïque Française, the LabelFrancÉducation seal is awarded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) to French-speaking bilingual programs of excellence offering enhanced instruction in the French language and at least one non-linguistic discipline in French.
“It is with great pleasure and pride that we award the LabelFrancÉducation seal to the International School of San Antonio,” said Aliénor Maxence, Program Officer for the French Cultural Services in Houston. “Congratulations on this momentous achievement.”
The LabelFrancÉducation network includes more than 650 French-speaking bilingual programs in 63 countries. Accredited programs gain access to teaching resources and support for instructors through Culturethèque, a digital portal for French cultural establishments outside of France. The relationship also fosters transatlantic collaboration and opens doors to study abroad opportunities, grants, and professional experiences.
“We’re thrilled to achieve accreditation from the French Ministry,” said Katia Edrenkina, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ISSA. “It is a tribute to our professional educators and leadership team as we strive to deliver a world-class education and experiences to our students.”
Program officers plan to award the official plaque during a ceremony in January, 2024.
